Luke Hohmann

Our keynote speaker for the first day will be Luke Hohmann, the Founder and CEO of The Innovation Games(R) Company, the leading provider of serious games that enable organizations to solve complex problems through online and in-person collaborative play. The author of three books, Luke's playfully diverse background of life experiences has uniquely prepared him to design and produce serious games.

Jacqueline (Jacquie) Lloyd Smith

Our keynote speaker for the second day will be Jacquie Lloyd Smith. She has over twenty years experience working within the service delivery sector in both private business, government, and not-for-profit organizations. During her career, she has worked as a business owner, a director of operations, a management consultant, a conflict practitioner, a university professor and a clinician working closely with a variety of organizations, developing innovative programs to help them navigate through change. She has the natural ability to quickly assess organizational culture and to identify opportunities to improve productivity at both the macro and micro levels.

Ben Carey

Ben Carey is an Agile Coach with Rally Software in Raleigh, North Carolina. His experience includes over 10 years in the software development industry. Ben has participated on Agile teams as an Architect, Team Lead, Developer, Tester, Analyst, Designer, and ScrumMaster. Ben has worked as an Agile Coach within a variety of industry verticals and with Agile programs spanning multiple teams, time zones, and continents. His passions include enabling the fast and effective delivery of software, helping teams reach high-performance, and helping find the essence of great software.

Willem Larsen

Willem was raised on the Southern Oregon Coast, between the Winchuck river and Coos Bay, and is therefore a creature of the rain and dripping evergreens. He has worked in environmental education in Portland, OR for almost two decades, only recently making a shift to endangered language revitalization two years ago, by partnering on the "Where Are Your Keys?" (WAYK) fluency game system.

Michael McCullough

Michael McCullough is Senior Technical Director with Quadrus based in Calgary Alberta Canada. Michael is an experienced Consultant, Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Master, Certified PMP, Microsoft Certified Trainer and Instructor.

Don McGreal

Don in WigIn his role as Director of Learning Solutions at Improving Enterprises, Don McGreal is a hands–on agile consultant and instructor. As a consultant and Certified Scrum Professional, he has fulfilled many roles while ensuring that the clients get the most from each engagement: developer, business analyst, and process coach. As an instructor, he has authored and taught classes for thousands of software professionals around the globe, specializing in Agile, Scrum, Acceptance Testing, Object–Oriented–Design, and Test–Driven Development.

Xavier Quesada

Xavier QuesadaXavier is an independent consultant, coach, trainer, project manager and author, specializing in applying Agile (Lean, Scrum) methods to create high performance, continuously improving teams and organizations. He is a Certified Scrum Coach, the author of the Visual Management Blog and a founding member of Agilar, the international non-profit cooperative of independent agile consultants.

Doug Smith

Doug has over 25 years of hands-on experience in business development, risk management, and community and economic development. His knowledge and understanding of the functions of both the private and non-profit sectors make Doug an invaluable resource. His track record speaks volumes about his skills in building multi-party agreements and in gaining stakeholder buy-in. He understands how to bring groups with diverse backgrounds, positions and interests together in order to create and build sustainable community projects.

Adam Sroka

Adam Sroka is an Agile Coach with BigVisible Solutions. He has nine years of overall experience with Agile. He spent more than half that time as a programmer on Extreme Programming teams, and has spent the last few years helping Agile teams to adopt XP practices and add discipline to their technical approach.

Jean Tabaka

An Agile Fellow with Rally Software Development, Jean Tabaka has more than thirty years of experience in software development. In the late 1990s, she became an agile devotee, working with organizations worldwide to deliver more value faster through the adoption of agile principles and practices.

Jay Vogt

Jay W. Vogt is an organizational development consultant with over twenty-five years of experience working with fast growth companies, nonprofit organizations, corporations, and government.   He founded Peoplesworth, a private practice in strategic planning and change management, in 1982.  He holds a master's degree in counseling from Antioch/New England and a B.A. from Hampshire College.  Jay is an accomplished facilitator, mediator, trainer, management consultant and coach. He is a master at facilitating large groups, having led over one hundred events involving an average of one hundred or more participants. Jay is the author of Recharge Your Team: The Grounded Visioning Approach, a new book by Praeger on his visioning work with clients.
